Description |
If
you find yourself saying ‘I wish I’d handled that better or
differently, I wish I hadn’t lost my cool, why don’t they know
what I need, why are people always walking all over me; and
more.... Then this workshop is for you! Participants will assess
their current pattern of behaviour, practice and demonstrate
assertive communication. |

Objectives |
On
completion of the workshop participants will be able to:
- Identify the
difference between assertive, aggressive and passive behaviour
- Clarify their
own feelings and reactions and develop appropriate assertive
responses
- Identify the
advantages and benefits of behaving and communicating
assertively
- Demonstrate
their use of assertive techniques during practical exercises

- Staff who need
to increase their understanding of why change is becoming a
way of life, why it is a positive experience and how to cope
with it.

Maximum of 12
participants recommended.

- Completion of a
Personality Profile Analysis (PPA) form.
- Syndicate group
work, role-plays, one on one consultation

Duration |
1-2 days subject
to specific customer requirement.

Prerequisites |
A willingness to
learn a new way of communicating and taking responsibility for
getting your needs met.
|

Pre work |
Come prepared
with examples of situations that you would like to have
handled better.

enough to accommodate up to 12 people in small clusters of
tables or horseshoe shape of chairs
